and I missed the Beijing ‘08 closing ceremony. Heard it was wonderful. Missed the opening as well. Heard it was outstanding too.
Instead I watched a wonderful video creation made by Robert Croma and browsed through about 500 photos in a few Flickr groups.
Also, instead of posting my own pics, I’ll feature one from one of my contact’s sets. Enjoy a beautiful sunset in a beautiful land far away from here.
Whole afternoon and evening… Moving, removing, tagging, naming, renaming, editing, enhancing, sharpening, copyrighting, uploading, sorting, deleting, duplicating, duplicate removing, separating mine from not mine, backuping…
Over 6000 photos, made mostly since Y2000 till today, with several thousand from pre-digital era which still await scanning.
In the morning we waited 25 minutes for coffee to arrive. Kind of record in our favorite cafe.
Starting this one a bit earlier, so I still have a full week until it happens, just in case I change my mind about a few things.
- Do 30 20 10 situps and pushups every day.
- Spend more time with family.
- Don’t go mad when my mother comments about how dressed I am.
- (classified business plan)
- Waste less time on things which interest (almost) no one:
- making amateur videos aka videoblogs and posting them on-line for total embarrassment
- editing and paying for gogentv.com
- twitter.com-ing what I’m doing or thinking
- cut gadgets and leave Facebook page static, for old school mates’ search only
- Waste more time on things which produce negligibly more interest:
- do more videos of family for home use only
- do and upload more photographs to Flickr
- join local photo club
- take more care of company-name-here web site
- Close two bank accounts and use the remaining two.
- Stop being dead worried about world peace. I can’t help it.
- Stop searching for global justice. There isn’t any and never will be.
- Remain trusting no one.
(Could be edited until Sep 1st…)
